Meet the Owners:
Hi, I'm Mrs. Melissa! I moved to Sioux City in July of 2012 from Denver, Colorado. It was a hard transition, but totally worth it! My husband Pete and I opened KidLogic December of 2012 starting as an in-home child care provider. We just recently expanded in to a center March of 2015 and have enjoyed every moment of it! I have my degree in elementary education with a minor in child psychology. I have worked with children since I can remember! Starting as a young teenager babysitting neighbor kids, parent’s friend’s children, and my sisters. When I turned 16 I began working at a daycare facility where I learned that was my calling. Throughout college I was a nanny for a family for approx. 5 years. I enjoy spending time with my husband, family and friends! We spend a lot of time playing cards, working on home improvements, as well as traveling back home to visit my family.
I look forward to welcoming your family in and spending each day helping your child develop and grow! Please let me know if you ever have any questions or concerns!
Hi, my name is Courtney!
I am the Assistant Director here at KidLogic Childcare. I’ve been working with kids for 6 years and have found it to be my true calling. After I graduated high school I worked at Beyond the Bell, a before and after school program in Sioux City. I started working at KidLogic Child Care nearly 3 years ago. I have a 3-year son named Parker. I always worried and stressed over finding a good daycare and finding someone I could trust. I was never able to find a daycare I truly felt comfortable leaving my pride and joy until KidLogic. This is why I feel I can relate and ensure you feel comfortable and are happy with the care your child receives while enrolled with us here. Parker and I are extremely lucky to be part of the KidLogic Family. I look forward to forming relationships with the children and parents. I love that I can be a part of helping your children grow and learn. Of course, the snuggles and all the love from them is a bonus. I feel extremely privileged to be able to spend every day with your kiddos. I am eager to give you and your child(ren) an awesome child care experience. I am happy that you have allowed KidLogic to be that second family for you. Please let me know if there is anything I can help you with or if you have any questions/concerns or comments for me.
My name is Ms. Andrea!
I am excited to be a part of the KidLogic team! I am one of the co-teachers in the Owlet’s classroom. I am a mom of two amazing boys, Mason (4) and Keegan (6mo). They are the light of my life!
I grew up in Onawa, and during my school years, I played volleyball, basketball and softball. I have lived in Ankeny, IA, Sioux City, IA and Charlotte, North Carolina. I moved from Charlotte back to Iowa to be closer to my family. I used to substitute teach middle/high school and did an internship in both kindergarten and preschool! I have always loved kids and being around them for as long as I can remember! I will be attending college soon to get my Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. In my spare time I like to watch TV, read, play with my boys and spend time with my family.
My name is Ms. Olivia! I will be working as a co-teacher in the infant room. I am excited to be working here at KidLogic and to form bonds and relationships with all the children and their families.
I am 19 years old born and raised in Sioux City, Iowa. I do not have any children of my own and enjoy spending most of my time with my family as we are all very close.
I have 4 years of experience working with children between babysitting and other child care centers. I will be attending Morningside College in the fall to continue my degree in elementary education.
I am looking forward to spending my days with your little ones. Please let me know if you have any questions for me at any time.
Hi, my name is Ms. Jackie!
I am the co-teacher in the Wise Owl’s classroom.
I have two brothers, Luis age 17 and Wesley Gael who is 2 weeks old. I have a very supportive and close family who I enjoy spending most of my free time with. We are a very close family and enjoy doing lots of fun activities, both indoors and outdoors.
I am 18 years old and recently moved to South Sioux City from Wyoming in March 2017. I graduated from SSC High this past May. It was a crazy time to move, as I only had a few more months to graduate, but we made it work. During my high school career, my favorite things were being an academic tutor in the SPED room and being part of Make@Wish program. Being able to interact with children that have special needs defiantly taught me to be patient and to have fun with the kids.
The Make@Wish program is a two-week fundraiser for children with terminal illness to grant one of their wishes. I helped at nearly evert event all four years of high school and was fortunate enough to meet the children who’s wishes we were granting.
All these experiences helped me decide to further my education in Early Childhood Education. I plan to attend Northeast Community College this fall and finish up my career in Wayne.
I am beyond excited to be working with all the kids and teachers at KidLogic!
Please don’t hesitate to ask me for anything, I am eager to get to know you all!
Hi, my name is Ms. KaLee!
I will be joining the infant room as an assistant teacher. I am super excited about the opportunity to work with the infants. I look forward to forming bonds and relationships with all the children and their families. I am 19 years old and I currently reside here in South Sioux City with my boyfriend, Blake.
I have been working in childcare for over 8 years and I find it to be something I am very passionate about. I’ve done a lot of babysitting and working in different child care centers.
I currently do not have any children of my own, but I love spending every chance I get with my soon to be three little cousins. I have found that working with kids is my true calling and I decided at a young age that it would be something I could pursue a career in.
In my spare time I enjoy fishing, reading and spending time with my family.
I am eager to get to know each and everyone one of you in the coming weeks! Please do not hesitate to ask me any questions, as I am more than willing to answer.
Hi, my name is Ms Bethani.
I'm extremely excited to be a part of KidLogic. I am a Co-Teacher in the Owl Stars classroom. I am truly enjoying every moment with the Owl Stars, from when I get into the classroom to when we all head home.
I'm from Winnebago, NE. I'm 24 years old. I graduated in 2012 from Flandreau Indian Boarding School, in Flandreau, SD. I've attended community college, Little Priest Tribal College, however, I have taken some time off at the moment. I have a few semesters left to graduate. Currently my major is Interdisciplinary Studies but will be changing soon to Early Childhood Education.
I've worked in a few different fields. I did give the medical field a try, but teaching has been the best fit for me; it is truly my passion! I have experience from teaching at my community daycare/preschool, EduCare of Winnebago, for almost a year. I was the assistant teacher for the toddler classroom, so this has been an easy transition for me.
Other things I enjoy are reading, writing, drawing, listening to music, and watching TV. I spend most of my time with my fiancé, my 1-year old American Bulldog (who's like my baby), my 6-year-old Godson, and my big family!
I'm looking forward to building bonds with the children and the families. If you have any questions for me, feel free to ask!
Hi! My name is Ms. Isabell,
I am so thrilled to be a part of the KidLogic team!
I am the lead teacher in the Wise Owls preschool room class. I have been working at KidLogic for a little over a year now. I absolutely love coming to work every day to see all the kids' smiley faces. After graduating High School, I started at Briar Cliff to further my education in Early Education. Shortly after my first year at Briar Cliff my boyfriend, Joey, and I found out we were expecting our baby girl Lillian Grace in May of 2016. A few of my many hobbies include hanging with family, reading books, taking long walks, listening to music and baking. I look forward to building more relationships with all the families here at KidLogic.
Hi, my name is Rosa!
I am 21 years old, I was born and raised in Sioux City, Iowa. I have 8 brothers and sisters and have been babysitting since I was 13 years old. I absolutely love being around children. There is such a joy to be able to help and watch them grow. I do not have any kids of my own but I do have 2 dogs that I absolutely adore! In my spare time I enjoy going on walks, reading, cooking/baking and spending time with my family and friends. I am currently working part time as a floating teacher and spending a lot of time in the infant room. It is a great pleasure to work with all the children here at KidLogic. It is an amazing child care and preschool with very friendly staff that treats the children like their own. I am very happy to be part of the team!
Hi, I am Ms. Monica!
I just graduated from South Sioux City Highschool this May. I have spent the past two years interning at EN Sweet and absolutely love it! I knew working with children was my calling when I began babysitting at 12 years old and I look forward to having a large family someday. You will find me primarily in the afternoons in the toddler room. Although, I will float around to each classroom, as well.
My dream after high school is going to Northeast Community College to study Early Education. Being with kids every day and seeing different beautiful smiles brightens my day. It truly is a blessing to be part of the KidLogic family.
When I am not at school or working at the daycare I enjoy cooking, sleeping and shopping, but most importantly spending time with my family.
Hello! My name is Ms. Darein,
I currently attend Western Iowa Tech Community College for Early Childhood Education; I am starting my second year in the fall of 2017. I graduated from Sergeant Bluff High School in 2016. When I'm not working or doing homework I love spending time with my family and my boyfriend!
I have been working in child care for almost two years now. I absolutely love it! It is so much fun to be able to make a positive impact in their lives. I have also done a lot of babysitting for private families. I started babysitting at the age of 14; that is what has helped me to find my calling & passion. I love seeing how kids develop and how each kid learns things differently.
You will find me primarily with the Mighty Hoots and the Wise Owls. I am so excited to be a special part of your child’s day. Please feel free to ask me anything!
Hi, my name is Ms. Alexa!
I am the lead teacher in the Little Hoots classroom. I am excited to be part of the KidLogic family and get to know all of the kids and families! I am 23 years old and I am from Sioux City, IA. I started working with kids in 2012 as a gymnastics coach and I started working in daycares in 2015 and I've loved it ever since! I grew up in a large family, so being around kids and taking care of them has always been part of my life.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, watching Netflix, and shopping. I am looking forward to forming close bonds with the kids and families at KidLogic, so feel free to ask me anything at any time!
Hi! My name is Brandi Wetzel, I am 20 years old and I am currently an assistant teacher. I originally worked at KidLogic in 2015 when I was pregnant with my son Jaxson. I'm so excited to be back and working with the kiddos! I'm currently a nursing student at Northeast Community College in Nebraska. When I'm not at school or work, I really enjoy spending time with my son and boyfriend, shopping and hanging out at home! I'm so excited to be back and apart of the KL family!
Hola! My Name is Patricia, but my friends call me “Trisha”. I recently moved to Sioux City from Puerto Rico. I couldn’t be happier to be working with such great people and family. In my free time I enjoy playing sports, watching NFL with my family (Go COWBOYS!) and enjoy dancing to the beat of SALSA music. I love traveling and I love linguistics, so imagine my excitement when I came across this position at KidLogic Child Care where I have the opportunity to contribute to the amazing process of helping children achieve their full potential and experience their many 'firsts'! This in itself is incredibly rewarding and makes the hard work worthwhile. I tend to call my students “my kids” ('mis niños y niñas' in Spanish) because during our time together I make it my responsibility to get to know each child individually and contribute in a way that best fits their needs. All in all, mis niños y niñas become a part of my heart.
I’m very enthusiastic and eager to work with the owl stars and wise owls kids and I’ll be here for any questions at any time!
