Meet the Owners:
Hi, I'm Mrs. Melissa! I moved to Sioux City in July of 2012 from Denver, Colorado. It was a hard transition, but totally worth it! My husband Pete and I opened KidLogic December of 2012 starting as an in-home child care provider. We then expanded in to a center March of 2015 and have enjoyed every moment of it! I have my degree in elementary education with a minor in child psychology. I have worked with children since I can remember! Starting as a young teenager babysitting neighbor kids, parent’s friend’s children, and my sisters. When I turned 16 I began working at a daycare facility where I learned that was my calling. Throughout college I was a nanny for a family for approx. 5 years. I enjoy spending time with my husband, family and friends! We spend a lot of time playing cards, working on home improvements, as well as traveling back home to visit my family.
I look forward to welcoming your family in and spending each day helping your child develop and grow! Please let me know if you ever have any questions or concerns!
Hi, my name is Courtney! I’ve been working with kids for 6 years and have found it to be my true calling. After I graduated high school I worked at Beyond the Bell, a before and after school program in Sioux City. I started working at KidLogic Child Care nearly 3 years ago. I have a 4-year son named Parker and a new daughter named Norah. I always worried and stressed over finding a good daycare and finding someone I could trust. I was never able to find a daycare I truly felt comfortable leaving my pride and joy until KidLogic. This is why I feel I can relate and ensure you feel comfortable and are happy with the care your child receives while enrolled with us here. Parker and I are extremely lucky to be part of the KidLogic Family. I look forward to forming relationships with the children and parents. I love that I can be a part of helping your children grow and learn. Of course, the snuggles and all the love from them is a bonus. I feel extremely privileged to be able to spend every day with your kiddos. I am eager to give you and your child(ren) an awesome child care experience. I am happy that you have allowed KidLogic to be that second family for you. Please let me know if there is anything I can help you with or if you have any questions/concerns or comments for me.
My name is Ms. Andrea!
I am excited to be a part of the KidLogic team! I am one of the surround care teachers. I am a mom of two amazing boys, Mason (5) and Keegan (1). They are the light of my life!
I grew up in Onawa, and during my school years, I played volleyball, basketball and softball. I have lived in Ankeny, IA, Sioux City, IA and Charlotte, North Carolina. I moved from Charlotte back to Iowa to be closer to my family. I used to substitute teach middle/high school and did an internship in both kindergarten and preschool! I have always loved kids and being around them for as long as I can remember! I will be attending college soon to get my Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. In my spare time I like to watch TV, read, play with my boys and spend time with my family.
My name is Ms. Olivia! I will be working as a co-teacher in the infant room. I am excited to be working here at KidLogic and to form bonds and relationships with all the children and their families.
I am 21 years old born and raised in Sioux City, Iowa. I do not have any children of my own and enjoy spending most of my time with my family as we are all very close.
I have 4 years of experience working with children between babysitting and other child care centers. I will be attending Morningside College in the fall to continue my degree in elementary education.
I am looking forward to spending my days with your little ones. Please let me know if you have any questions for me at any time.
Hello, my name is Mayra Piedrahita. I am 20 years young! I have recently joined the KidLogic team! I am originally from Cali, Colombia. I moved to Iowa when I was 8 years old! I have 3 younger siblings whom I’ve taken care of most of my life, so I have a natural draw to children! I graduated from North High School in 2016. I then joined the Army National Guard. As soon as I returned from basic training I started up college but have taken another route since then. Some hobbies I enjoy include watching movies, walking my dog Scooby, playing soccer and of course eating lots of food! :) I am very excited to be working with your children, as they are very knowledgeable and creative; definitely a breath of fresh air. Looking forward to meeting all of you!
Hi, my name is Destini. I recently moved to Sioux City from small town Iowa. I'm so excited to join KidLogic. You will find me as a co-teacher in the Owlette's infant room. After high school I was able to have the opportunity to be a live-in nanny in Chicago, IL for a 6 year old and a baby. I learned so much and it was the start, besides prior babysitting, to the enjoyment I have working with children. Afterwards, I attended college but could not decide on a major. I knew I wanted to work with children but could not decide specifically what I wanted to be. I plan on attending college to finish my degree in a few years. After college, I spent 6 years working with special needs and also working part time in an infant room at a daycare near my hometown. This is where I fell in love working specifically with this age group. They grow and accomplish so much in the first 18 months. I'm excited to be a part of that and be their start to an environment that encourages plenty of play, nurturing and learning. I do not have any kids of my own, but I have a 5-year-old sister I love to spend time with. I have one cat, Picasso, who I spoil and adore. In my spare time I enjoy playing games/cards, Netflix/movies, spending time with family/friends, playing bingo, traveling and photography. I look forward to meeting all of you and working with your little ones.
Hi! My name is Ms. Isabell,
I am so thrilled to be a part of the KidLogic team!
I am the lead teacher in the Wise Owls preschool room class. I have been working at KidLogic for a little over a year now. I absolutely love coming to work every day to see all the kids' smiley faces. After graduating High School, I started at Briar Cliff to further my education in Early Education. Shortly after my first year at Briar Cliff my boyfriend, Joey, and I found out we were expecting our baby girl Lillian Grace in May of 2016. A few of my many hobbies include hanging with family, reading books, taking long walks, listening to music and baking. I look forward to building more relationships with all the families here at KidLogic.
Hi, my name is Rosa!
I was born and raised in Sioux City, Iowa. I have 8 brothers and sisters and have been babysitting since I was 13 years old. I absolutely love being around children. There is such a joy to be able to help and watch them grow. I do not have any kids of my own but I do have 2 dogs that I absolutely adore! In my spare time I enjoy going on walks, reading, cooking/baking and spending time with my family and friends. I am currently working part time as a floating teacher and spending a lot of time in the infant room. It is a great pleasure to work with all the children here at KidLogic. It is an amazing child care and preschool with very friendly staff that treats the children like their own. I am very happy to be part of the team!
Hi! My name is Gabby. I am lead teacher for the Little Hoots here at KidLogic, where my heart is filled with joy. This is my first time working in a childcare center, but I have been taking care of children since I can remember, whether it was babysitting or conducting Sunday school at my Dad’s church. I grew up in Kansas and just recently moved to Nebraska about 3 years ago to go to college and also to follow my parents/immediate family. My dad is a pastor at St. Paul united Methodist church here in South Sioux City. He is the main reason my family moved here, to serve the community through ministry. My mom, brother and niece also live here, as well. I am currently working on my degree in Human Service Counseling. Before this job I was a Life Coach to Adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. My future goal is to help and support the community of all ages with special needs.
Throughout high school, I was involved in many things like cheerleading, choir, basketball, volleyball and softball. My favorite was cheerleading and choir. My hobbies include singing, reading, exercising and doing make up on others. I am also currently in the Army National Guard as a Chaplain Assistant. I have grown to be a very positive and energetic person with compassion to serve my country and the people in it, the best way I can. I also believe that no matter how old I get I will always be a kid at heart. Please feel free to ask me any questions and get to know me more. I love conversation and I tend to be very talkative at times, that’s why they call me “Gabby”!
